Gladiator Race Marokánka 2025

Gladiator race is one of the hardest obstacle races we run, because of its obstacles. It requires a lot of determination, strength and discipline to overcome all the obstacles together with the dog and run the course all the way from the start to the finish. This time we set out for an evening race around the lake on Marokánka. Start at 6 p.m., the weather was just right, the route was 3 km through water, forest and sandy paths. A fairly easy race in terms of running, no hills or tricky things, a short fast sprint, but…! We also ran a very demanding 10 km race in extremely difficult and hilly terrain that morning in Poland – Hard Dog Race Wild, which was the exact opposite of the Gladiator. The obstacles were generally easy, but the length and terrain were much more brutal. However, we lacked a medal from the HDR Wild in our collection, it had never been held in the Czech Republic so far, so we did not hesitate. We had to manage both races in one day. On Friday, we moved to Poland with the whole pack, ran the Wild in the morning and quickly moved to the start of the Gladiator in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. This time, we took the HDR Wild as a non-competitive event, we all ran together for fun (Erik + Frozen, Natálka + Bella and me with Amiga) and saved our strength for the evening Gladiator Race. Within a few hours after the morning race, we were at the start again, only with different furry friends. Erik chose Skazka, Natálka chose Vendetta and I chose Diamond on the day of her 8th birthday. She was so happy that she could race again after a long time. We were also happy to meet with other team mates NIKTEL WHITE WARRIORS, there. Surprisingly, the running was quite fine, but the fatigue from the morning race definitely affected our performance. We each had a handicap from a few obstacles we did not manage and finished in 4th + 5th + 6th place. But the feeling of overcoming another challenge was priceless.
