What a race! Freezing cold weather, sometimes snowy, that really got under your skin – and yet we still showed up in shorts. The course was no joke either, with some seriously tough hills that tested both legs and lungs on the 6 or 9 km tracks. Arghhh.
This race was a true check of our condition after the winter break – our first obstacle run of the season, and it definitely showed us where we stand. Hard, extreme, but absolutely worth it.
We also had some great achievements. Our daughter Natalie & Amiga came 1st in the junior cathegory. Younger Caroline 5th only by a few seconds after the 3rd. Erik 4th and I was 6th out of 72 women aged 30 – 45. There were also our progeny Destiny ran twice and came 3rd on the long 9 km track and 2nd with younger junior. Fayla ended 2nd in long as well. And a future owner of our puppy, Mary, ran this really tough race with our Diamond. They fought until the last meter. Congratulations to everybody.
Most of all everyone, including the dogs, enjoyed every minute of this.
