Night race – CZECH DOG RUN NIGHTFALL 2021

Since we have bought the super shining headlight we love night runs. The fellow racers literally jumped out of the way in front of us, they thought a car is comming. And the cold night air is perfect for running, too. Well, the coldness of the air on Saturday’s race CZECH DOG RUN NIGHTFALL was a little bit too cold. The temperatures dropped almost to zero, the cool breeze from the lake was freezing and we were on the start of a 3 km obstacle race, of course with water obstacles too. I was terrified, what the organisators prepared for us in such weather. But they were nice to us, we got wet just up to our knees, so it was bearable. The wet shoes were quite enough. Otherwise the run was very pleasant, tract very flat, the obstacles interesting and new. We enjoyed the race a lot and we fulfilled our goal to end all in TOP 10. Pace around 6:00 min/km including obstacles is also very nice result. Erik with Skazka finished very tightly on the 7th place /50 men, Mirka with Frozen 10th/157 women, Natálka with Vendetta 7th/15 in the cathegory under 18 . And also our Diamond ran in the race with Vlastimil Halla, who is still waiting for his own conicrosser to grow old enough to start running.

It was a lovely race, thanks for that. And what’s next? The night journey across the republic, 4 hours of sleep and in the morning a day obstacle race in Jablonec nad Nisou.
