Hard Dog Race base CZ 2025

We started right among the first competitors. The dogs were so excited that we had trouble keeping them in the starting corridor at all. The barking of everyone around was deafening.

3-2-1-START. All three of us set off at once like bullets. Me with Bella, Erik with Amiga and Natálka with Skazka. Pace after the start 2:30 min/km. First obstacle – inflatable maze. The volunteer at the obstacle called something from afar. We didn’t have a chance to slow down the dogs. Only halfway through the obstacle did we realize that she was shouting “one by one”. Oh well, sorry, maybe next time.

A few steep muddy hills awaited us, up and down again, left and right, typical motocross track. In the meantime, we crawled under tires, or a metal grate (where I cleverly stuck my finger inside and almost dislocated it. No problem, I still have 9 left).

We continue on, still all together, (yeah, sometimes they had to wait a bit for me) we run through water (how I love running in wet shoes) and refreshed we continue on into the forest. We jump over, crawl through, crawl under, throw, carry, wade, swim, climb, while throwing smiles at the photographers and after less than 40 minutes we run hand in hand to the finish line dirty, wet, scratched, sweaty, tired, but happy.

There were also other participants for the Niktel team: Vlastík & Renča Halla with Amálka and Destiny, Andrea with Hallelujah, Dušan with Barnabáš and Lenka & Jirka Homola with Keny and Forst. It was lovely to see you all again. The team is constantly growing.

Thanks to HDR team for organisation. And at the end of the summer a HDR double challenge is awaiting us in the form of the HDR Wild race planned for many years at 12+ km. See you in September.
