Gladiator Race Milovice 2025

This was a total massacre. Tankodrom Milovice and its famous mud everywhere, which “ate” shoes, made running almost impossible and stuck everywhere, so the obstacles were slippery and really hard to overcome. On the 4 km route, in addition to mud, we also had typical demanding strength obstacles, obstacles for skill and interaction with the dog, fast running passages as well as technical sections. We had to climb, hang, move hand by hand along handrails, run with heavy loads, climb over, crawl under, crawl through obstacles and much more.

This time we really hit rock bottom and even though we encountered various complications, we did our best and it paid off. Bella and I and Erik and Skazka managed everything without a single handicap, I finished in the fastest time among women 40+ out of 22 competitors in the category and Erik took silver among men 40+. At first, Natalie & Amiga were troubled by the climbing wall, which they had to repeat a few times before they conquered it without falling and then Naty gave such an extreme running performance that she felt nauseous during the race. But she didn’t give up and after emptying her stomach, she kept running. Even so, it was enough for second place and just a little short of the top spot. 

Gladiator race isn’t easy peasy, but it was perfect! It was worth getting up at 3:30 in the morning, loading 5 dogs, 9 puppies, 5 people and about 10 bags of equipment into the car and off to the race. Despite all that, it was a great day.
