ROCKET ROSE RASCAL Niktel

The newest addition to our team, Rocket Rose Rascal Niktel – Rose, is our little rocket from this year’s Rascals litter (R) by Skazka. She was the only puppy from the litter to stay at home, and we quickly realized that the name Rocket Rose suits her perfectly. Her energy, speed and constant desire to get up to something are simply impossible to miss.

Rose is currently very wild, energetic and tireless. She is exactly the kind of puppy that always has a plan and certainly has no intention of wasting a single minute. She is still rather reserved with people, but she gets more than enough entertainment from her own pack. Other dogs do not bother her, but they do not particularly interest her either – after all, she has more than enough of them in her own garden. Here, however, she knows exactly how to annoy every single one of them, tease them into playing and then go completely wild with them.

From an early age, she has been very quick to learn and has an enormous desire to work. Since puppy school at 10 weeks of age, she has been attending dog training classes twice a week, and her progress has been literally rocket-fast. She quickly became bored in the puppy group, so she soon moved up to the more advanced dogs and is already having her first lessons alongside experienced adult dogs. We are constantly amazed by how quickly she understands new things, how willingly she cooperates and how eager she is to learn. Her name, Rocket Rose Rascal Niktel, could not be more fitting.

Rose also has very interesting working potential on her father’s side. Her sire is a highly successful working White Swiss Shepherd who is able to compete at a level comparable to traditional working breeds. He has successfully completed the IGP 3 qualification and excels not only through his willingness to work, but also through his ability to focus and handle demanding tasks.

Her father is also particularly interesting from a genetic perspective. He was originally born outside the FCI system, in a kennel that was not registered with the FCI. His owner subsequently went through the demanding process of having his origin officially recognized and fulfilled all the requirements necessary for his registration in the FCI studbook. He was therefore accepted as a first-generation FCI breeding male. Such a process is not common and applies only to dogs that meet the required criteria and are considered to have sufficient quality and value for the breed. His inclusion also brought new blood into the White Swiss Shepherd gene pool.

We will therefore be very curious to see how Rose’s working abilities and temperament continue to develop. So far, there is certainly no shortage of either working drive or energy in this little girl.

Rose has been able to walk beautifully on a loose leash from an early age and is very easy to handle in everyday situations. But when something really catches her attention and she decides to put some power into it, you can immediately see just how incredibly strong she is. We therefore believe that once she matures a little, gains strength and is ready to start working in harness, she could become an excellent canicross partner. She will have to wait a few more months before she gets her own harness, though.

Rose is a long-haired female with a beautiful, noble head and correctly set ears. Her body is still going through an intensive growth phase, so at the moment she is a little bit “all legs”. She still needs to gain strength, build muscle and mature overall – which is completely natural at her age. There is therefore still plenty of time before we can properly assess her final appearance and conformation.

To us, Rose is above all a little whirlwind who certainly does not give us anything for free. Her endless energy can be quite a challenge at times, but it is also exactly what we love about her. She has enormous potential, an incredible zest for life, and we are very curious to see where her rocket-fast journey will take us.
