AMIGA ANGEL Niktel

Amiga is a female from our own breeding, born in our “A”ngels litter (AXEL x FROZEN). She was one of the calmest puppies in the litter and completely won our hearts, so much so that she stayed at home with us.

To this day, Amiga remains a very calm and well-balanced dog. She will calmly accept almost anything that is asked of her, and even less pleasant situations such as vaccinations, veterinary examinations, fireworks and similar experiences do not faze her. She simply waits them out without panic, stress or any attempt to escape. She is exceptionally well socialized. Like all puppies born in our kennel, she went through a carefully designed, multi-stage socialization program that gave her an excellent foundation for a stable and confident temperament. Of course, we continued her socialization well beyond puppyhood, and her skills and confidence have continued to develop over the years.

Although she is naturally very calm, all it takes is putting on her canicross harness and she instantly switches into a completely different mode. Suddenly, she is running beautifully out in front at full pull and genuinely loves working in harness. We never really had to teach her much – she understood very quickly what was expected of her. Her natural talent as a pulling dog undoubtedly comes from both of her parents as well – Frozen and Axel are, or in Axel’s case was, among our most enthusiastic pulling dogs.

Amiga has taken part in hundreds of canicross, obstacle and dogtrekking races over the years, achieving many excellent results. In 2022, she became the White Swiss Shepherd Canicross Champion and White Swiss Shepherd Dog Trekking Vice-Champion. She also won Czech Dog Run Nightfall, the largest night obstacle race in the Czech Republic, and has stood on the podium several times at Gladiator Race, Extreme Dog Race and many other day and night races CC or OCR over the years. She also successfully completed an endurance test (20 km run + obedience test).

Her greatest sporting achievement to date came this year at the 2026 Czech National Canicross Championship for all breeds. Together with 10-year-old Karolínka, she competed in the two-round race and won 1st place in the younger pupils category, becoming the 2026 Czech National Canicross Champion across all breeds.

As a puppy, she also attended several dog shows, earning a number of Very Promising 1 ratings as well as Best Baby awards. However, with her dynamic nature, she feels much more at home in a racing harness than in the show ring.

In May 2021, she successfully passed her young dog assessment. However, due to her more tightly curled tail, she did not meet the requirements for breeding approval and never became a breeding female. She will therefore never have puppies of her own, but that simply means we get to enjoy all the sporting adventures and everyday moments of life with our wonderful Amiga.
